THE ANNUAL MEYERHOLD ASSEMBLY is a festival of directors. The centre of attention are world-famous directors, those who stand out for their prominent achievements in experimental theatre.
The Festival was set up in 2006 by The Meyerhold Centre and personally by its president, Valery Fokin. As part of THE ANNUAL MEYERHOLD ASSEMBLY we program performances, films, workshops, lectures and talks. Besides every year we award a Meyerhold prize to one of the directors.

THE ANNUAL MEYERHOLD ASSEMBLY will happen in November - December 2011 for the 6th time. To celebrate its XX birthday The Meyerhold Centre expands the Programme of THE ANNUAL MEYERHOLD ASSEMBLY to become once again a platform for presenting Polish culture.
Part of the International Cultural Programme of the Polish EU Presidency – I, Culture we are glad to bring four shows made by the most representative directors of the contemporary Polish theatre. Nowadays the official politics of Poland is very much about promoting Polish culture abroad. Polish theatre is now one of the leaders in the European theatre world, that was proved once again by the special programme of the Golden Mask Festival 2011 - Polish Theatre in Moscow.
THE ANNUAL MEYERHOLD ASSEMBLY continues to bring contemporary Polish theatre to the Moscow audiences in all its variety.
