Director Valery Fokin sat the spectators at the tables of a Parisian café, winding the action of the play around, amidst and above them. And behind the neighbouring tables he set the actors, who play with one another as well as with the audience. While enjoying an incomparable crème-caramel, profiterole or glass of red wine, the public observes a stylish and elegant performance.
