The Meyerhold Centre is planning to devote 2006 and 2007 to a new artistic programme, Theatrical Schools, wherein we would like to present diverse directing and acting schools and systems. The programme will be dedicated to a wide variety of educational techniques for both actors and directors, approaching theatrical education as technique from one point of view, and as spiritual practice from another point of view. The programme will include showings of thesis productions, performances created under the conditions of a theatrical laboratory, and studio productions. A series of master classes, lectures, and video screenings on this theme is also being planned.

As such, we are interested in lectures and master classes by distinguished pedagogues, in work connected with innovative acting techniques and practices, and in thesis productions and video screenings connected with this movement in the theatre.
